Quality Assurance Program

The goals of SRC's Quality Assurance Plan are to detail established Industry Standard Quality Assurance principles and to formalize the structure of the SRC Quality Assurance program. SRC has in place and maintains a Quality Control program that ensures the highest level of service and products will result from each Seaport Enhanced Task Order.

The SRC Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for maintaining records of all Quality Assurance activities as outlined in the SRC Quality Assurance Plan and Division Level Project Quality Assurance Programs. To this end, SRC Program Managers are responsible for submitting a project-specific Quality Assurance plan to the SRC Quality Assurance Officer as a part of each SRC-supported tasks/project. To accomplish this, SRC Program Managers employ the principles as outlined in their respective Divisional Level Quality Assurance Programs as a framework for their more detailed and specific Quality Assurance planning. SRC Program Managers are responsible for maintaining Quality Assurance records throughout the life of each project and for including Quality Assurance information in their final project reports. All project related Quality Assurance information is incorporated into the SRC Quality Assurance database.

SRC conducts periodic reviews to ensure portions of each project's budget are implicitly allocated to Quality Assurance. SRC's Divisional level Quality Assurance programs include ISO 9001:2000 registration, awarded in October 2003 and our CMMI Configuration Management (CM) and Supplier Agreement Management (SAM) areas appraisal at Level 3, awarded in May 2003. Further certifications include four additional CMMI Level 2 area appraisals awarded in August 2003. SRC continues to work towards CMMI Level 3 appraisals in all Product Areas.

SRC personnel are trained and properly certified to perform shipboard installation work and all employees share responsibility for achieving established Quality Assurance objectives. As set forth in ISO 9001:2001, SRC requires all subcontractors to maintain an appropriate Quality Assurance Process.
