Air Traffic Controller
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under general supervision, perform all activities related to air traffic control.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and maintain a log of all rotary traffic in communication with Mac Center.
- Coordinate helicopter activity with EAP and CIC prior to and at the end of each shift.
- Conduct communications search and initiates SAR on overdue helicopters.
- Provide VFR advisories and flight assistance.
- Maintain flight following forms.
- Coordinate with Helo Operations schedule changes and alternate communications.
- Ascertain HAZMAT status of arriving and departing helicopter traffic.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- The job requires a minimum of two years rated ATC experience, graduation from an
approved DOD or FAA air traffic controller course, completion of the ATCS written test,
and must have received FAA form 7220-1.
- Performing this job requires that medical qualifications be met.

Weather Forecaster
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under general supervision, provide full professional knowledge of meteorological methods,
techniques, and theory; and the ability to apply this knowledge in the solution of practical and theoretical problems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide aviation forecasting services.
- Use meteorological methods and techniques in the
solution of practical and theoretical problems.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and four or more years
work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Performing work in this job's occupational field requires the application of complex,
technical, professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the
extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices and methods.
- In relation to other jobs in the same function, this job requires an intermediate
level of proficiency to work on assignments of standard difficulty.
- The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are analytical skills.

Weather Observer
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under limited supervision, applies a variety of meteorological concepts using various
forms data to determine readings for multiple timeframes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete necessary forms in accordance with Federal Meteorological Hand and instructions
provided by the National Weather Service and other appropriate authority.
- Prepares balloon, radiosonde, and ground equipment for flight, and performs pie-release
checks and conducts regular optical comparative flights to ensure proper calibration of equipment.
- Documents rawinsonde observations of atmospheric pressure, temperature, relative humidity, wind
direction and speeds aloft, using automatic methods.
- Obtains data on cloud height wind atmospheric transmissivity, pressure, and precipitation from autographic records.
- Performs rawinsonde observations, using semi-automatic methods when automatic radiotheodoIite equipment
fails and observes evaluates, and codes flight data.
- Performs prescribed quality control checks, and makes appropriate notification of problem areas.
- Disseminates observations by NWS and FAA approved systems.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- This job requires a minimum of have 3 years experience as a qualified weather observer
for rawinsonde and surface observations; including a minimum of one year at an aviation
weather facility or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ground Maintenance Technician
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Performs a variety of technical functions in support of engineering
activities such as test, checkout, modification, fabrication, assembly, operation, maintenance, and repair of
electronic and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, and/or specialized test equipment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists technical staff members in fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic
circuits and mechanical packaging including the development of electrical and mechanical prototypes.
- Performs design tasks requiring the application of CAD equipment; designs projects such as simulation,
printed circuit boards, and electronic and electrical assemblies requiring development of schematics.
- Performs on-site installation, troubleshooting and testing of company products and equipment. Provides
technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
- Executes test procedures, test plans, test reports and procedures to maintain lab facilities
and calibrate test equipment. May conduct engineering tests and experimental testing.
- Follows procedures for the maintenance of laboratory facilities and equipment including cable
diagrams, equipment schematics and configurations to support various system arrangements.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- This job requires a minimum of a two-year technical degree and one or more years work related
experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of craft, vocational
or administrative skills and methods taught in specialized training and or learned through formal apprenticeships.
