Quality Certifications

Quality Policy

Scientific Research Corporation is dedicated to exceeding customer requirements and practicing continual improvement. We are committed to long term partnerships with our customers and suppliers.

This commitment is demonstrated by multiple third party quality certifications that we hold, including:

The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) is a process improvement model that provides a set of practices for improving processes, resulting in a performance improvement system that paves the way for better operations and performance. CMMI is designed to compare an organization’s existing processes to proven best practices developed by members of industry, government, and academia; reveal possible areas for improvement; and provide ways to measure progress. We first achieved a Level 3 rating in 2010 and continues to maintain that standard today.

The AS9100 standard was developed using ISO 9001 as a basis by adding additional requirements to address specific risks inherent in the aerospace industry. These additional requirements satisfy DOD, NASA, and FAA quality requirements and establish a single quality management standard for use by aerospace and defense organizations. A successful third-party audit of SRC’s aerospace operations resulted in AS9100 certification in 2016. While the AS9100 standard is significantly more rigorous than ISO 9001, our mature Quality Management System and prior process improvements applied as lessons learned from our rich experience in aerospace operations enabled us to achieve AS9100 certification with very minor additions to our existing QMS.

ISO 9001

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, a process-based approach, and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 helps ensure that customers get consistent, high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations. We first achieved an ISO 9001 certificate under the 2000 version of the standard in 2001 and continues to maintain certification under ISO 9001:2015.
